Well Sir, you opened this up stating you're a Communist, and you know how people would react.

I respect your opinions, I welcome you to the forums. I'm not going to hurl insults at you.

Well, I can't say I'm for Capitalism or Communism. I guess I'm some lame Social-Democrat, though I don't go into politics thinking there is a solution. Maybe there is, maybe not. I doubt I have the answers.

Anyways, I understand your empathy for people who live in dire hell. I've seriously thought for many years, and still do about our world we live in.  Here's what I've come to understand: Real-true Communism as what Marx envisioned is at its core a value system-- as what society should value. Marxists think the stock-holder is weird-- here's a person who doesn't work inside said company, yet keeps acquiring money; profit well after the firm borrowed money from them. However, its a question of whether society should value this way of living or not.

Everyone knows if Communism could replace Capitalism with a societal change of values it wouldn't work. As what Marx said is that the economy is at the center of all social-life. So how a society produces its goods and services determines how people interact. We develop our values with our interactions. So we just need to reorganize the economy? Sure, there are enough goods and services in the world to make all the worlds people fat. But to reorganize the world's economies with the limited knowledge we have is frightening, and so to get the working-class to rise up and smash the old society, and have no idea where its going to is kind of irresponsible. You can't just simply build more train tracks to distribute goods. The only two ways the world knows about allocating resources is with currency or with rationing. If you ration you will have no idea how much goods and services to make, and where to distribute goods. If you use currency, some people will just be without it-- heck, if we had 100% employment, we'd have hyper-inflation and so having some people who don't work keep inflation down.  With this in mind, you think science will solve it for you, because of its previous cost cutting and labor saving inventions, so why shouldn't it keep progressing, and progress in such a way that it ends the division of labor and class-society itself. Capitalists also have this faith in science, but they believe it will keep the rate of profit sky-rocketing and create more growth, which will prevent society slipping into a Malthusian disaster. Science moves differently; Scientists don't just think of inventions out of the sky, penicillin wasn't dreamed up, neither was anything else. Scientists discover stuff and then they try to think of the possible applications for their discoveries and then there's the inventions.

Now with that said,
If Footmen Tire You.... is damned hilarious, one of my favs! Also check out "the Burning Hell" you can watch the whole thing on Youtube, as well as "The Believers Heaven". I'm still wanting to see "Che!" with Omar Shariff and Jack Palance as Fidel Castro-- I heard his performance is so cartoony that it's a riot!

I read a book on marxism.  his solution to disparities in quality of life was to eliminate private property and eliminate competition.  That's like eliminating roads and engines and being like " i can invent the fastest car".  private property is the basis of civilization.
