My name is Edwin Albert Erwin.  Every year in school when the first roll was called the teacher would inevitably say "This must be typographical error".

I grew up as Eddie and that's still what people I grew up with and relatives still call me.  I started using Ed because it sounded more "grown-up", but now that I'm getting older I find I prefer the name I grew up with.

I have the most boring name, I hate it.

Tracey Lynn Chambers
that is a kick ass name. it has a touch of 'hair-metal chic' to it, and I don't mean that in a derogatory way

stick with it IMO

NB: For the new members of our community who are blissfully unaware of the horror in their midst: the horrific picture in my avatar is me.  Buggedout TeddyR

I am Trevor T. Moses ~ the T stands for Thomas, after my Dad. Sometimes I tell people that the T stands for Tiberius and that normally gets a couple of these >>>>>>  BounceGiggle BounceGiggle.

I am the owner and only user of the world's first prefabricated, re-usable and reversible underpants, they come with a lace trim, very nice.  TeddyR

Colleen Mary Brady is a fictional character on the American soap opera Days of our Lives. Her story, seen in flashbacks through the reading of letters written between Santo DiMera and herself, is that of a romance with a man who was married when she met him. Colleen's great-niece, Sami Brady looks identical to Colleen and she is being portrayed by Alison Sweeney as young Colleen

Christopher

The name comes from the Saint of travelers.

He was a giant warrior who wanted to serve a leader worthy of his skill and strength. First he served his general, but there was someone above him.  The he served the general's king, but soon learned there was someone the king followed.  Next he followed Satan beliving him to be most powerful.  He soon found out there was someone that even the devil feared.

One day he was by river, a small child asked him to carry him across to the other side.  As he carried the child across, he felt a great weight across his shoulders that got heaver with each step.  When he got across, the child revealed himself to be Jesus, who told Christopher he had the weight of the world, and the one who made it on his shoulders.

Most versions of the story take place after the Resurrection, but I remember hearing a version where he was assiting Jesus, Mary, and Joesph across the river as they were fleeing King Herod.

Most scholars believe this to simply be a legend, as there is no real evidence Saint Christopher existed.

Now you know my name and some of the history behind it.

I'm not trying to convert anyone-I'm just trying to give information about the background of my name.
