Now I just need to reseach a 1960 or 70's version of Cask of Amontillado (movie).

I'm super sure the film I remember was made in the 60's or 70's.

I do appreciate all the help.

Venom, I taped "The Masque of Red Death" a while back, but I haven't watched it yet. I've seen bits and pieces before, but not the whole thing, so I don't know offhand if the scene is in there. I'll watch it tonight and let you know.

Sorry to report that no one gets buried alive in the film. There is a man chained to a wall in the dungeon, but he is just another prisoner there, no entombing. At the end Vincent Price's character is chased into a darkened room where he dies, but there's no walling in.
There is a large castle in the film and a small village.

Rereading this thread puts me in mind of another film with some of the elements you describe, but again, no entombing alive of anyone. That film is Curse of the Werewolf with Oliver Reed. The beggar character in the film does get sent to and dies in the dungeon, but doesn't get entombed that I recall. There is a castle and a village. Just in case, I'm including a link to the IMDb comments page for it. There's usually more detailed descriptions included in the reviews there.

Huge castle. Pendulum. Someone walled up alive. Famous older actor.
All of that is in "Castle of the Living Dead" (a.k.a. Torture Chamber of Dr. Sadism)

That sure sounds like it, only 1 problem, was the person walled up a man? I'm 100% sure was a man.

That's a really good find though! Thanks alot Rayo.

I got lucky, look what I found on youtube - Torture Chamber of Dr. Sadism. I'm watching right now.

EDIT - Nope, thats not it. Thank you for trying.

What ever the name of the movie was the plot was "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allen Poe if you are thinking of the same one I am.

I'm pretty sure it was Master of Horror, which was a '60s film that featured an adaptation of The Cask of Amontillado. It used to turn up on late-night TV all the time.

I'm not sure but I remember this old film and a man gets entombed alive.

Oddly I've seen a few dozen stories that are based on the same concept... people are entombed alive.
