Wild In The Streets

Well I knew it wouldn't be too long before someone in the Southeastern US showed out like this. Worse part it happen about a hour's drive south of where I live. Apparently a couple of families in Marion,AL decided to notch their feud up a bit into a full scale riot.

The town's police chief was hit in the head with a crowbar but was OK.

That's one hard head.

The latest in the Marion riots is a curfew for the entire city from 10PM to 6AM. During this time only law enforcement will be allowed on the streets and state troopers have been called out to help enforce the curfew.

You would think they were named that. The two families involved is the Sawyer and Moore families. The feud has been going for years but for the most part has been benign until now based on the info I have. My wife knows an officer from one of the neighboring towns which was called in to assist in gaining control. He told my wife about what happen which included a gash in his head he received when one of the rioters headbutted him.
