Other than Uwe Boll (who I'm sure somebody was going to bring up at one point or another), whose continued success in Hollywood can only be explained by a Faustian deal? In this case, I'm looking for those who consistently turn out crap (or worse) but never seem to dissappear. Alternatively, it can be someone who had a hand in one of the worst films ever made, but who managed to survive it with their careers intact (ie, Ben Affleck and J Lo after Gigli).

Philip Adrian Booth - he wrote and directed Death Tunnel, the worse piece of excrement I've ever seen in my life.  It was his first film, and he's gone on to make 7 others since.

George Lucas I think has some sort of dealings with the Dark Lord.  How else does he keep committing sacrileges cinematically and get away with it?

Darn.  When I saw the thread topic, I was anticipating a list of directors, actors, etc whose successful careers began with or were established/enhanced by good (or good-bad) films about Satan or satanic doings.  Poop.
