OK I have been searching for years and recently on many forums for the titles of 2 films. One of them I am not sure if it was a TV series episode or a movie. The other I know was a movie because I rented it from the video store many years ago.

The first is the definite movie. I rented it in the early 90's and was a robot movie along the same lines as robot jocks and robot wars. I believe it had the main character fleeing from someone and he had a female companion. The main thing I can remember about this film is that the robot/plane he was flying in had a robotech/macross style gerwalk mode that they used when they landed. They may have even "walked" in that mode. They never did transform into the full fledged robot but the guy did end up in a mech fighting another guy.

The other, may have been an episode of a series but I remember it as a movie.

There are two main parts I can recall and these may both be seperate films and my young mind just combined them.

The first part had a salesman/insurance agent whoever come into the home and the parents and the salesman were sitting around the kitchen table, lighting was kinda dark, maybe a bit reddish, they were talking. Something happens and the mom gets mad and literally takes an Axe and stabs the guy in the back. Next thing you know the guy is layed out on the table and the family is butchering him. Calling out particular parts for themselves etc. At one point the kids were off to school and the mom says "dont forget your tongue sandwiches" or something to that effect.

Ok I know your probably thinking this is "Parents" but I watched that just the other day and it was not the same film.

Anyways, the second part of the film, was the family has been taken into a labratory and are in individual cages. They were wearing gray or blue clothes. Mom has blonde straight hair. and the family is handed a cup of a strange blue liquid. One by one, they are forced to drink it and watch the others drink.
After drinking the liquid, I cant remember exactly how it happened, but they dissapeared. They like just faded out of existence. I believe it was the mom who refused to drink and somehow escaped but I may be wrong on that part.

I was only around 6 or 7 when I saw this so its tough to remember more details.

The first mecha movie could be "Gunhed."  I reviewed it a while back:
