I think what we overlook the most in video games is the music that plays through the levels and stages.  The music can often be very good and can be amazing to listen to.  Do you have any specific songs or soundtracks that you like from these games?  Here's some of my favorites:

There's at least one band, the Advantage, that exclusively performs video game music.  I couldn't find the track from them I wanted, but here's a live rendition of "Castlevania" that sounds pretty good.
