So, I did a thread on this before, and a lot of people came up with some great ideas, so now it's time to choose one!

Basically, you ever heard of, seen a movie and you think, "Wow, that was a GREAT idea, but it only someone ELSE had done it..."  Or "If only the script had been better..."  Etc, etc.

As I said earlier, just about any premise could be good if you jazz it up enough, and even a simple idea could be neat if you get the right people behind it, but still, here I'm talking about something that, in your opinion should have been Epic (or at least, decent) and yet it just went south.

Maybe it had a Spark of brilliance here and there, a scene or a moment, where you think, "Well, that tiny part was good" but for the vast majority of the running time, it was just a waste of potential.

Vote for your favorite one!  :)

IMHO, it's almost all about execution.  Do you honestly think that anyone else could take a Tarantino script and do what he does with it?  True Romance and Natural Born Killers are perfect examples of this.  I enjoyed both of these films, but neither of them stand the same test of time that Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs pass with flying colors.  This is subjective, of course, but if I’m surfing channels and either of the latter two films happen to be on, I am much more likely to stop and catch a bit of them (even though I’ve seen them a couple of dozen times each) than I am with the former two, which I’ve probably watched less than half the number of times.

Hehe... I have a deep respect for Tarantino...

But...

If it wasnt for Harvey Keitel help Quentin would still be working in a Video Store.

True Romance and Natural Born Killers had to be rewritten by other writers because his stories were full of "Talking Heads and loaded with 'F' bombs" which isn't acceptable material/format for Hollywood. From my understanding base on an Oliver Stone on NBK that the story was handwritten.

Trust me, Hollywood would never accept any handwritten material from an unknown writer unless there is a name supporting you... Thats why Quentin should kiss Keitel's butt from time to time... :)
