This is nigh on impossible for me so...

It's hard enough for me to name the ones I have seen in the last month!!

That being said, one day I should sit down and think really hard and try and remember.

Well, since I've been seeing movies in the theater for about 40 years, this would be quite a long list.

Here is a very small sample of movies I saw in the the theater.  I chose to post these because they are not necessarily "big name" films . . . they are middle-of-the road, perhaps forgotten, possibly bad, often overlooked.  This list is definitely more interesting than if I started listing stuff like THE GODFATHER, STAR WARS, JAWS, and RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK.

* SASQUATCH (from Sunn Classics!)

* FUTUREWORLD

* THE THREE MUSKETEERS / THE FOUR MIUSKETEERS (double feature - - yup, the Michael York, Oliver Reed versions!)

* BLUE WATER, WHITE DEATH (a shark documentary that tried to capitalize on the success of JAWS)

* RACE WITH THE DEVIL / W.W. AND THE DIXIE DANCE KINGS (a rather odd double feature)

* LOGAN'S RUN

* THE CASSANDRA CROSSING

* DON'T GO IN THE HOUSE

* MOTHER'S DAY

* WILLARD (original)

* BEN

* THE OCTAGON (Chuck Norris!)

* OUTLAW BLUES (have you ever heard Peter Fonda sing country and western songs?)

* THE OSTERMAN WEEKEND

* THE CHEAP DETECTIVE

* DUCHESS AND THE DIRTWATER FOX

* MURDER BY DEATH

* OLD DRACULA

* THE MAIN EVENT (Ryan O'Neal and Barbra Streisand . . . in a romantic comedy about boxing????)

* HITLER: THE LAST TEN DAYS

* THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND OF CAPTAIN NEMO

* THE WONDERFUL LAND OF OZ (see my comments in the CHILDHOOD FAVORITES discussion)

* THE CHRISTMAS THAT ALMOST WASN'T

* MAKE THEM DIE SLOWLY (now on DVD as CANNIBAL FEROX)

* THE EVIL DEAD (I'm sort of proud of this one)

* THE TRIAL OF BILLY JACK

* XANADU

* UP IN SMOKE / THE WARRIORS (another odd double feature)

* THE LEGACY (with the infamous tracheotomy scene)

* THE ISLAND (the modern day pirate movie starring Michael Caine . . . why isn't this on DVD?)

* MEATBALLS

* HOOPER

* GATOR

* THE BAD NEWS BEARS (original)

* BASKET CASE

* CHALLENGE TO BE FREE

* THE CREATURE FROM BLACK LAKE

* KRULL

* HOUSE OF WAX (the original, in 3-D, during a re-release)

* FUN WITH DICK AND JANE (George Segal, Jane Fonda version)

* PETE 'N' TILLIE (Walter Matthau and Carol Burnett)

* MEL BROOKS SILENT MOVIE

* THE ADVENTURE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES SMARTER BROTHER

* KING FRAT (why isn't this cheap ANIMAL HOUSE rip-off on DVD?)

* HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS

* KING KONG (the Jeff Bridges, Jessica Lange fiasco)

And that's just a short list.

Phantasm, Prophecy, Carrie, Eyes of Laura Mars, The Fury, Body Double, Friday the 13th (1980), Friday the 13th 2, Friday the 13th: Final Chapter, Let's Scare Jessica To Death, Poltergeist, The Thing, Dawn of the Dead (1978), Zombi, The Sentinel (1977), Shock Waves, The Fog (1980), Halloween (1978), The Entity, The Fly 2, Nightwing, Alien, Aliens, Maximum Overdrive, Gremlins, Night of the Comet, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Dressed to Kill, Alien: Resurrection, Species 2, The Funhouse, The Visitor (1979), Jaws, Jaws 2, Jaws 3D, The Exorcist, Escape from New York, The Howling, Twilight Zone: The Movie, Burnt Offerings, When a Stranger Calls (1979), Fright Night, House, The Return of the Living Dead, Star Wars, Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom, The Fly (1986), The Last Man on Earth, Christine, A View To A Kill, The Empire Strikes Back, The Hearse, Prince of Darkness, They Call Him Bulldozer, I'm for the Hippopotamus, Micki + Maude, E.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins, The Last Dragon, Commando, Conan the Destroyer, Black Moon Rising, The Dark (1979), Monsters, Inc., The Lord of the Rings, Titanic, The Abyss, An American Werewolf in London, An American Werewolf in Paris, Fallen, Jackie Brown, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Nothing to Lose, Return of the Dragon, The Final Countdown, Death on the Nile, Young Sherlock Holmes, Audrey Rose, One on One (1977), Who Is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?, Poltergeist II: The Other Side, King Kong (1976), Grease, Psycho II, Day of the Animals, Jennifer (1978), Gladiator, The Terminator, Animal House, Going All the Way, Fright Night Part 2, Wallstreet, Footloose, Flashdance, Dracula (1992), Home Alone 3, Se7en, Bloody Moon (1981), Big Trouble in Little China, Blue Thunder, Runaway (1984), Ghostbusters, Batman (1989), The Shining, The Incredible Melting Man, The Amityville Horror (1979), The Legacy (1979), Firestarter, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Island of Dr. Moreau (1977), Ice Castles (1978), The Omen (1976), Damien: Omen 2, The Final Conflict (Omen 3), The Pack (1977).

There are many more I'm sure, but as of now - thats all I could think of. There was another movie I've seen, I think it was an Italian King Kong rip-off about a giant Bigfoot. The title escapes me but I do remember one scene in particular with Bigfoot saving his love interest who is falling down a elevator shaft.
And another King Kong movie I've seen, of Asian origin I think, with Kong fighting a mechanical Kong. I don't remember the title either.

I'll Jumanji, Men In Black and The Matrix to my list.

There's more I don't remember well enough to put a title to. Mostly westerns and WW2 movies from the 60s. I was a military brat back then and got to see many movies at the base theaters, cheap. Very popular ones would cycle through periodically, which is how I got to see 'Gone With the Wind' and 'Mary Poppins' after their initial theatrical runs.

Edit:
The movie  with Liz Taylor I erroneously listed as DEATH WATCH is called NIGHTWATCH(1973):

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070444/fullcredits

Being as no one caaught the error-it IS as obscure as you might think.
The one with Bob Newhart was FIRST FAMILY (1981)  Gilda Radner was in it too!
The Train Robber film with John Wayne was-duh-the TRAIN ROBBERS (1973).
