Alex from A CLOCKWORK ORANGE.

But I think the most amazingly fun performance by an unabashedly evil character may be Boris Karloff in THE BODY SNATCHER.

...what do I win?

there's a can of worms here, but......

what do you think you should win?
a can of worms would do nicely.

I'll store it at the back of the cupboard for when I'm really hungry.

Richard Burton's character in 1984 (His farewell role, by the way) is certainly one of the most cold and evil characters I've come across in recent memory.  What he does to poor John Hurt is heartbreaking.

Clubber Lang in Rocky III is another cold bastard.  I never forgave him for giving Mick his fatal heart attack, and was jumping for joy when Rocky finally kicked his ass.

My favorite comic book movie villain is still General Zod.  Simple, but effectively played by Terrance Stamp.  I'll never forget when he cried out "You will bow down before me, Jor-El!  First you, and then one day, your heirs!"

* Vic Vega (Mr. Blonde) from RESERVOIR DOGS

* Mickey and Mallory Knox from NATURAL BORN KILLERS

* Tommy DeVito from GOODFELLAS

Clarence Boddiker from RoboCop is one of the most completely evil characters I've ever seen in a movie.
