Hypnotic, ain't it?

Couple reviews that I haven't gotten around to linking here yet.

FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2: http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/10/friday-13th-part-2-1981.html
"I'm undecided regarding the prologue with Alice. Is it supposed to be Jason stalking her and murdering her in vengeance for Alice's decapitation of Pamela Voorhees? How the heck does Jason track her down? Or is it just a random break-in who happens to murder her? Either way, I feel like it doesn't have a place here."

FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 3: http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/10/friday-13th-part-3-1982.html
"The mask. I have to talk about the mask. The selection of the hockey mask was brilliant. It almost has a skeletal feel to it, ivory in color with empty eye-sockets, emphasizing that Jason is as inescapable and unstoppable as Death himself."

FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER: http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/10/friday-13th-final-chapter-1984.html
"Tommy represents a nice twist to the continuing saga of Jason however. A child, thrust into Jason's path. Jason can't really kill him since he's not a sinful teenager yet (the desire's there, but he hasn't been able to act on it yet). Instead, Tommy's young mind ends up warped due to witnessing Jason's rampage, slicing and dicing through his big sister's friends like a chainsaw through Jell-O. Tommy learns that the monsters aren't just in the movies he watches. The monsters are real, and what's more, they're human."

FRIDAY THE 13TH: A NEW BEGINNING: http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/10/friday-13th-new-beginning-1985.html
"The deaths start getting creative -- a woman is stabbed through the eyes with hedge-clippers after having sex, and her beau gets his head crushed against a tree with a tightening leather strap. Reggie's cousin (? brother? I forget) Demon (played by Miguel Nunez, who played Spider in RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD) dies in the crapper, impaled through the chest after taking the Browns to the Super Bowl. At least Jason (or whoever) let him finish before killing him."

THE EVIL DEAD: http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/10/evil-dead-1981.html
"My immediate thought: This would be a hilarious film to watch in 3-D. So much stuff gets thrown around -- blood, unidentifiable white slime, more blood, rotting flesh, even more blood..."

More to come! I should be able to finish the FRIDAY THE 13TH and EVIL DEAD series in time for Halloween, plus a couple other films I've been holding off on.
