Hey, will anyone recommend a good 70s film that is similar to straw dogs but with a spooky theme? Of course surrounding a nice young suburban couple.

If so, thanks! I would greatly appreciate it!

What factor(s) of "Straw Dogs" are you looking to include?  The parts of an ordinary person pushed towards something they wouldn't seem capable of?  The terrible things done by people to each other, when one has power over the other?  The power and danger of sexuality?

"Let's Scare Jessica to Death" (1971) might fit what you are looking for, as might "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" (1973).

"The Wicker Man" (1973) is another, but not as spooky as the other two.

The original "Wicker Man" is a film that I like a lot, while the remake was just awful.

It's not a 70's film, but try "The Entity."  I've always found it to be creepy, because of the indignity and helplessness of the main character.

ROAD GAMES is a pretty good movie that doesn´t get the attention it deserves.  Sort of STRAW DOGS on wheels . . . in Australia.
