Well, it's that time of year again: time to vote on the worst movies of the year!  Sorry, I'm a little late getting the thread started this year.

Here's how it works: I'll leave this thread open for you guys to make nominations for the worst movie of 2009.  Then, the day after Christmas I'll place all the nominations together in a poll and let the community vote for the official badmovie.org worst movie of 2009.

My nomination this year is for Richard Kelly's THE BOX.  Man, was I disappointed at this one.  The acting was mediocre at best: Cameron Diaz never got a hold on her Southern accent, and there was really no reason to give her one.  The script was pretty terrible---you could see the stitches where Matheson's short story ended and Kelly's inventions began---and the action senseless.  Subplots were dropped for no reason.  A very annoying movie.

So let's nominate some BAD movies!

Transformers:revenge of the fallen~ painful from beginning to the very long end. Frankly, it was an assault on the senses.

Sadly, Drag Me to Hell. A lifeless, reanimated corpse of an Evil Dead film. I didn't hate it, but Sam Raimi should be doing much, much better work.

For non-theatrical, that Children of the Corn remake was pure garbage and stupid to boot.

Revenge of the Fallen- Exactly the same as the first film with the completely illogical addition of having Decepticons be able to take human form, but not use that in order to destroy human society from within!!!!  Total waste of what could have been a decent plot point!

New Moon, I got dragged on a date to see that one.  I think I've seen more expression conveyed by a  walrus, then by the films actors. 10 minutes into the film I was already hoping to see blade burst in and waste everything. It just went downhill from there.

I'm ashamed to say that I haven't seen more than 3 movies from 2009.

Hit and Run (2009)

Certainly wasn't the worst but sort of bad.

I've only seen about 9 movies released this year.  My least favorite was X-Men Origins: Wolverine.  It was pretty much terrible.

Maybe not the worst, but definitely the most disappointing, was 2012.

You know, I think the only movie I've seen this year is District 9, and it certainly wasn't bad.
