BBC News is reporting the passing of British actor Richard Todd, star of
The Dam Busters and the owner of the eerie laugh that Dezi Arnaz Jr couldn't place in
House of the Long Shadows.
Mr Todd made several films in South Africa, including
The Hellions (the first African made Western)
Coast of Skeletons and
Sanders.
RIP Mr Todd.
And I've seen "The Hellions."
One film Trevor did not mention is 1952's "The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men" with Richard Todd in the title role and regarded as being one of the better adaptations of the Robin Hood story. And who played the Sheriff of Nottingham in the film? Some actor named Peter Finch.
