I have been trying to find out the name of this film for years.
As far as I can remember, it was set in america in around 1950 - 60's. I remember that there were two kids (boy and girl) in their early teens at most. They were from a fairly well off family, they had a nanny to look after the kids and do odd jobs.
The nanny was a little bit simple and I remember the boy who she was looking after was a right little rotter!! He would take advantage of her. I remember in the one scene he got into bed with her and manage to convince her into letting him touch her and possibly having sex (I might be wrong on that last bit!)
If anyone has any idea as to what i'm talking about I would be eternally grateful!! This would solve a 10 year argument between me and my mate who doesn't believe such a film would be shown on tv!!

Could it be "Rambling Rose" with Laura Dern?

Kinda' sounds like one of the many interpretations of "Turn of the Screw"
Then again, I've never really been able to sit through any of them.  Lookingup
