So, awhile ago I was having trouble with Firefox being slow and taking forever to load common pages, so, after reinstalling didn't seem to fix the problem, I switched to Maxthon. It seemed okay (despite some quirks with the controls), but one time I closed Maxthon and it popped up with an error message. I clicked okay, thinking it was no big deal, and then restarted the program.
Now, suddenly, every page I try to load on Maxthon ALL lead to some dating website called Theyfall.
WTF?!?!?
This site keeps appearing, even though I DON'T have it listed as the homepage for that browser, and even when I try to goto another site, it just goes back to that one.
I've done some web search, but I can't find anything about theyfall being related to a highjack website or something, so I don't know what the hell is going on. Luckily my other browsers don't seem affected, but I'm wonder what all info could be leaked out from this.
Man, this angers me. I've got Spyboy and SpyBlaster going, and AVG so hopefully nothing to bad will happen, but I dunno.
Anyway, anyone know what might be causing this, or have any advice? I'd appreciate it.
