A shark as big as a minibus apparently ate a man in Australia.

First, of all my regrets on the loss of life, but, if the witnesses are not exaggerating the size of the shark, we may be seeing a new species of shark. While the largest shark known to attack man is the great white, it is no where near the size of the typical dinosaur. And if it was a great white, and was "larger than a minibus," it may be one of the largest great whites ever seen. Again, I regret the loss of life.

I think one of the largest ever caught was in Australia, that was about 25ft. Records of actual attacks and size didn't begin that long ago, so my guessing is that sharks were horrifyingly huge a couple hundred years ago...

Thank-you for that information, Circus Circus. Depending upon the size of the minibus the witnesses were talking about, the shark most likely was a great white and not some new species. Still, if not the largest great white ever seen, it must come close. Again, my regrets about the loss of life.
