I cannot remember if it was TNT's  "Monstervision" or the "100% Weird" franchise, but I think the latter.  It was one of those caveman epics, probably from the early 70's and in color, but what I remember most is that the wandering group of cave guys encountered a painted tribe of women cavepeople who were...topless!  I swear I am not making this up.  And it was on regular TV, which was funny because I was watching the movie w/ my girlfriend and I said to her, "Jesus- those cave girls don't have any tops on."  The cavegirls were definitely painted, if that helps any. And we both thought it was hilarious that this got by the censors.  And of course...it is driving me NUTS that I can't remember the film, OR find any info on it!  I know the information is scant, but if you have any idea, please let me know- it has been bugging me for years!

One of the Hammer "caveman" movies had topless women in it, and was shown on TV fairly often with toplessness intact.  I can't remember which one it was, even though I saw it a hundred times when I was a kid.

I think When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth was the one.

Sounds like Quest for Fire.

I concur, and I think that I remember it being on cable during that time period (with the nudity).

It's not what you say, it's how you say it.

The Hammer one you are thinking of is probably Creatures The World Forgot.

That said, I agree the inquiry is probably referring to Quest for Fire.
