I don't know if this is the site or something with my browser (on MI), but I was typing a semi long post and when I got to where the scroll bar appeared because I'd taken up all the space the bar would jump back and forth from what I was typing to the line above.  Plus in later lines when I press "enter" instead of going to another line, it would move the cursor forward about two spaces (had to press enter twice to get another line.)

Another, not sure what the prob is, if it's on my ends or the sites.  I've made long posts before, but never seen this occur (course, I'm normally on Firefox, if that matters.)

Ash ran into a similar problem a few months back.  Never got a reply from him on a fix, but IE 8.0's compatibility mode helped it for others who were using that.

Did this recently start happening?  Have you rebooted your computer to see if that corrects it?  If not, what is your computer setup - OS, browser, etc?

This happens on my computer at work sometimes, but not my home PC.

You need to click the Compatibility Mode button.
That will fix it.

Here is a screenshot I took.  The red arrow points to the Compatibility Mode button:

I stopped using Internet Explorer awhile back and switched to Firefox.
It's so much more stable and easy to use.

Thanks for that bit of information, Ash. Next time I have a scrolling problem, I'll look for that Compatability Mode button. I use the pcs at the local public library, and on some of them, I've had a problem with scrolling. And on some I haven't had a problem with scrolling. And I must say, the scrolling problem is not only with this website. Thanks again for the information, Ash. I'll try it, and I hope that takes care of the problem.

Hmmm.. okay, the compatibility thing seemed to fix it.

As for Firefox, well, actually I WAS using Firefox, but for some reason it was running way to damn slow.  I'd click on links and it would take forever to call them up.  Sometimes I'd have to hit stop and then enter again two or three times before it would finally pop up.  Tried the same link in IE and boom, it came right up.  (I'm on a cable modem, so that's what should happen.)  Tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but that didn't help.

Tried Maxthon, but somehow that browser got hijacked and even after uninstalling and reinstalling it, I still couldn't fix it.
