And it's "Piranha: 3D."  The whole movie is going to be done with CGI.  The plot is pretty simple.  Ex-military lumberjacks who are cutting down the Amazon rainforest encounter a swarm of flying blue piranha.  It turns out that PETA created the creatures using piranha and alien DNA.

Yes, I'm joking, but I'd spend money to see it in the theater.

hehe nice joke... When I reading the first line I said to myself "WTF" since Piranha is comming out this summer and there was no guarantee it would be a box office hit... then I read your last line saying its a joke...

Although, I do agree it would be a kick ass money making remake...

Do the piranhas have naturally occurring, carbon fiber bones?

Actually, I saw the trailer for the 3-D PIRANHA movie that's coming out soon (they showed it when I went to see AVATAR).  There's one great scene of chicks in bikinis jumping on a trampoline.

I saw it at Avatar as well.  I really do want to see it.  It looks way better than the other 3-D trailers.  (Shrek 3-D, Clash of the Titans remake.)

I saw some behind-the-scenes pictures somewhere.  Looks like there will be a lot of 3D gore, both CG and with traditional effects.  Should be fun, definitely not a PG-13 wimpfest.
