It's because of the boogie board that she probably got attacked.
I'm certainly glad that the girl survived, but I have to agree with what Circus Circus says. Especially for anybody on a boogie board or a surf board when attacked by a shark. Coming up beneath its victim, the shark mistakes its prey for a seal and attacks. But that is also why many survivors of a shark attack survive the attack. The shark realizing that the person on the board is not its favorite prey the seal, the shark will then cease its attack and retreat. Again, I'm glad that the girl survived, and I hope she gets all the help she needs for something so traumatic.
