Hey guys. I'm looking for a movie that I saw a LONG time ago on USA Up All Night. Here's what I know about it.

- There is a blob of some sort.
- It eats people.
- I think it assumes the shape (poorly however) of the person it just ate. Or maybe it just adds it to it's mass. Because once it ate alot of people it became this jumble of human parts and gelatinous blob material.
- In the begining, some little boy finds something buried in his backyard and causes all of this. I think he traps something in a mason jar. Or maybe he takes a large rock from a meteor in.
- The Bad Guy Wins.

If you know the title of this movie, please reply. I can't wait to see this movie again.

Sounds so much like The Blob, but with some differences.

Yeah, it really is like The Blob. I also forgot to say that it was set in Suburbia. But The Blob (the remake, I'm not sure about the old one, is set in some weird hick town). And doesn't The Blob lose in the end? I don't remember but I would just assume so.The Honn wrote:

From the stuff about parts of people and blob material and the blob (monster) winning, it sounds more like TERRORVISION. You should be able to find more about it on the IMDB.

It turns out that I was combining both TerrorVision and The Gate. In TerrorVision, the thing absorbs people and wins. In The Gate, the kid finds a rock in his backyard, digs more and opens a gate to hell or something.
