I laughed when I heard this, love it when celebrities get a dose of reality. I like Kevin Smith but the guy is pretty fat and maybe this should be a wake up call to him to lose weight.

He must have gained quite a bit of weight in the past few years.  He didn't seem fat enough to need two seats in Clerks 2....

But yeah, if he's that big, he should really try to lose some weight.  It's a hell of a lot easier for rich people like him to do it than anyone else.  Still though, he has a good attitude about the whole thing - loved the bit where I saw him and John Goodman ribbing each other about their weight once.
