I don't really have a favorite Dracula movie, but my favorite Dracula was Christopher Lee.   I love the old Hammer films  Smile

I also liked Fright Night, The Lost Boys, and the mini series Salem's Lot.

Now Dark Shadows ... as I kid I used to come home from school every afternoon and faithfully watch the show.  TeddyR

Frank Langella as Dracula ... ok.  But Sir Laurence Olivier was a hoot as Van Helsing!

I liked the story line for Gary Oldman's take on Dracula, but I couldn't stand his "accent".

Pretty close to a top 10 choice (and on some days I might well include it) for me personally was William Marshall's surprisingly moving performance as Blacula!

7) HORROR OF DRACULA (1958)
8) VAMPYR (1932)
9) GRAVE OF THE VAMPIRE (1974 ~ okay it's dumb, but I like it!)
10) COUNT DRACULA (1977 with LOUIS JOURDAN made-for-TV)

It's too difficult to pick a top ten.  I know I would forget a few, and forget about trying to rank them in order, but here's ten that I like a lot.

Dracula (Lugosi version)
House of Dark Shadows
Curse of the Undead
From Dusk Til Dawn
House of Dracula
Daughters of Darkness
Vampires' Night Orgy
Dracula's Daughter
Horror of Dracula
Body Snatcher From Hell aka Goke, Body Snatcher From Hell

I don't remember any vampires in Castle of Blood, but I love that movie.  Am I forgetting something?

Yeh, your list is "horrible".   Wink

5) CASTLE OF BLOOD (1964 DANZA MACABRA)
I don't remember any vampires in Castle of Blood, but I love that movie.  Am I forgetting something?
Watch it again, there is throat biting and blood drinking, but as I wrote in my second posting in this thread, it's not apparent except when Dr. Carmus is killed by the muscleman (who bites his throat after killing him).  But remember, vampirism is primarily about taking life from the living in order to live, undead, still.  Taking the BLOOD of the living is the premise of the film, and the "ghosts" state it to "Alan" at the end.  "Your blood means our life..."

Not 10 vampire movies, but 10 decades of of vampire movies.

My favorite vampire-like movies from each decade.

20s "Nosferatu"
30s "Dracula's Daughter" or the Spanish "Dracula"
40s "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein"
50s "Horror of Dracula"
60s "Black Sunday" or "The Vampire Killers"
70s "Captain Kronos, Vampire Hunter" or "Vampire Circus"
80s "Fright Night" or "Lair of the White Worm"
90s "Bram Stoker's Dracula"
00s "Shadow of the Vampire"
Which brings us full circle back to "Nosferatu"

As for . . .
10s ?
