A film I just reviewed: Pete Walker's FRIGHTMARE!  Good flick about a cannibalistic granny.

Russell ~ I was just thinking after seeing that poster: if they can release Pete Walker's Frightmare, why not House of the Long Shadows?

Actually, they have released "House of Long Shadows," as I have it on VHS, but I presume Trevor means on dvd. Yes, it'd be nice before Christopher Lee passes away. Vincent Price, Shelia Keith, Peter Cushing, and John Carradine are dead, so it'd be nice to have a dvd version with Christopher Lee talking about how it was to work with his co-stars.

Peter Walker is apparently still living, too. So, it'd be nice to get an audio commentary on Walker's thoughts about working with those stars.

Hmm.. I've never seen House Of The Long Shadows.  What a cast, though!

the DARK-good lawdy . I OWN that movie! Sadder....I LIKE it!!!! And if it stars Paul Naschy-I'll watch it!
sadder yet...I like some of the crappiest movies from the 70's ever made! And watched lotsa them at the old Strand theater! Loved every second. Theres nothing like watching a cheap OMEN rip off-
like CATHYS CURSE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpNbw9V8clo
I liked Cathys Curse BETTER! THATS how sick I am!
I've had this for years and didn't even realize it!  I have this one on a 50 movie pack; I started watching it last night, but got sleepy - it is pretty bad and weird - but I need to see the rest of this...!   I also have DEEP RED!  I hadn't realized I had that one too!  Heh heh heh!

Oh, I watched JavaKoala's favorite: BLOOD MANIA... uhm there's not much blood or mania (there is that one great moment)... lots of shapely bare bosomed gals... I wonder why this is JavaKoala's favorite??  Question Lookingup Wink

Ha ha ha!  I just saw "Hausu" (House) at a theater in NW Portland with my sister last night.  Unbelievably stupid, pointless and cheesy Japanese haunted house flick.  We were doubled over laughing.  Pretty much wall-to-wall with WTF moments.  Hilarious!

What could be said to be redeeming of these films?  Wink

TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE
(1974) A masterpiece, I think.

EDIT: Trailers removed, so I've swept up the thread.
Essential to your education of offense, LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT (1972) with a perfect trailer and a film I despise:
THE HILLS HAVE EYES (1977) ...I think I hate this one too, but at least it's more movielike.
PHANTASM (1979)

Three I would list are:
Equinox(1970) - Herb Tarlak and friends go on a picnic in Hellstone State Park where Ranger Smith is the Devil is best way to sum it up. Fun to watch and has some cheesy effects but not bad for a film based off a student film.

Night of the Lepus - This is the film which made me a lover of bad movies. Dr. McCoy and Janet Leigh fight giant killer bunnies in the American Southwest. The whole idea of killer bunnies always makes me laugh, especially since I own a pet rabbit.

The Devil's Rain - It's got Shatner in it. Also Oliver Wendell Douglas and the sheriff from Picket Fences fight Quinton McHale and his forces of Hell which include Anton LeVay and John Travolta (in Travolta's feature film debut). Also apparently the forces of Satan melt like wax to a flame in a rain storm. Plus there is a brief appearance by Ida Lupino. The film can be hard to watch but has a lot of cheese in it.

Killdozer! Stephen King+ killer machines=awesome cheesy movie! BounceGiggle But seriously, it's a good movie

Roller Boogie (1979)- not as bad as Xanadu, but extremely BORING and the dialog sounds like it was written by a 5 year old. BounceGiggle but has no redeeming factors at all!  Thumbdown
