Just made one of those Japanese sandwiches to take for lunch at work later

Did those a few times, and even though I always use a very sharp knife to slice off the crust the cuts never look clean like in those pics  Lookingup

Typing archive shot lists: part of my daily duties.

Let's see: (1940)

Voting is now compulsory in South Africa
Mascot for the Mounted Brigade of SA.
A regiment leaves for camp.
Sporting dogs on trial.
Field ambulances en route to East Africa.
British soldiers on leave in Cape Town.

Great: typed that twice now.  Wink

Making one of my D&D players paranoid.

Quote
Alex C. (GM): Well at least you still have two of the rings that let you take money from the treasury. Imagine if the group had lost all 5.
12:21PMMr Mag: Yeah... That would have been both hilarious and horrible.
12:35PMAlex C. (GM): Heh. Well I am sure more can still go wrong.
12:36PMMr Mag: And it will.
12:36PMAlex C. (GM): Oh, what did you want to ask me about last night?
12:37PMMr Mag: Is there a Bahamut equivalent in this setting?
12:37PMAlex C. (GM): As in the demon?
12:38PMMr Mag: The LG dragon.
12:41PMAlex C. (GM): He is a servant of Torm, the god of law in Forgotten Realms.
He is a god, but a less powerful one.
12:42PMMr Mag: Ahh, so the Prestige class Vassal of Bahamut would still be ok?
12:42PMAlex C. (GM): Should be as long as it is an official class.
12:44PMMr Mag: It is. Book of Exalted deeds again.
12:45PMAlex C. (GM): And there was the party thinking they could get up to some naughtiness now lol.
12:46PMMr Mag: Oh, this is for my back-up back-up character. The one coming in this week is CG.
12:48PMAlex C. (GM): Will have to see what the party do for bringing in a new character. This area doesn't exactly have people wandering through it, so I will have to think of something.
12:50PMMr Mag: Abandoned castle, possible treasure and exploration opportunities.
12:50PMAlex C. (GM): There are reasons why you wouldn't be wandering here. These will become more apparent in the next few weeks I think.
There are damn good reasons this castle hasn't been reclaimed or looted in the past 70 years.
And not just because of the wasps.
12:52PMMr Mag: Please don't tell me there are clowns here...
12:52PMAlex C. (GM): What outfit was the old man in the tower wearing?
12:52PMMr Mag: Oh god.
12:53PMAlex C. (GM): And isn't it strange that he has managed to survive 70 years all alone up there?
At a guess, you'd have put his age around 50 by the way.
Shame your new toon will know none of this though.
12:54PMMr Mag: Time dilation
12:54PMAlex C. (GM): Could be. Might be he has good genes.
Could be he is the reason the castle is abandoned.
I was surprised you didn't detect evil on him.
12:57PMMr Mag: Detect Evil on the Emperor? What heresy is this?
12:57PMAlex C. (GM): Heh.
12:57PMMr Mag: I didn't think about it at the time.
12:57PMAlex C. (GM): Of course he might be exactly what he seems. A lonely old crazy man.
12:59PMMr Mag: He had sheep, he was lonely.

He was actually pretty much right when he said 'Time dilation'. The room they found him in is very much frozen in time.

Re-evaluating whether up is down and down up, after a children's home I have financially supported for ten years, a place I thought served an admirable function, is under investigation for claims of ongoing physical abuse that are among the worst I have ever heard.
