I've been following this site for about 5 years and I seem to recall that there was someone trying to rally up people to make a B-movie.
My theory is it got to grandiose and collapsed on itself. Maybe I missed a thread though, and it's already made. But it's kinda doubt that it actually came to anything.

Alot of you must want to make movies, and odds are not alot has come of those dreams and ambitions. So why not all collaborate and make the B-Movie that *us* the fanatics have been waiting for the last decade?

Let's not get ahead of ourselves and all start posting plot ideas and whatnot, but if people are interested, just leave a comment. If people want this to happen, I'll make another thread where we can start planning.

I'd really like to see something like this take shape.

That's an excellent idea. I've always wanted to collaberate with other b-movie fanatics and create a worthy bad movie.

The problem is: locations of the users. A good chunk of the users here live in the UK and the US (me being Canada), so it would be hard to get together with most of them due to distance.

Unless we get specific ones who live close to eachother to do the filming, acting, and spfx. While other users can work together online to make a script. Maybe we can have someone to the music too.

It could work.

Where there's a will, there's a way. This sounds like a great idea. Perhaps interested parties could post their specialty and location. I'm in Maryland and can provide cheezy cgi.

I'm in Idaho, I know people who have skills. An editor, an exceptionally good artist who could make cheesy grindhouse cover art, and I can't make any promises about this guy, but I know a pretty good musician who can make some good music.

There is a guy on the web, Kevin MacLeod, who makes great soundtrack music and gives it away FREE! I use a lot of his music in my animations.

You're in Idaho and you know people who have skills? Nunchuck skills? Bow-hunting skills? Sorry, couldn't resist the Napoleon Dynamite reference.

I think before script writting starts up, we should probably identify what kind of movie we all want to make and what resources we'd have to make it.

I can provide some soundtrack production skills. I'm decent at it, and have a good ear, but there may be more qualified personnel amongst the talent pool.

The only way something like this is going to work is with a solid script and not too many cooks in the kitchen. If somebody has a script or at least a solid script outline, then that person should be designated right from the outset, and a very small group to supervise it. Keep in mind the necessity for amateur cast members. Filming in a college town is always a good idea as finding actors from the theatre arts deparment is usually pretty easy to do. Getting cast members together from multiple locations is impractical and cost prohibitive. Providing things like post production and sound soundtrack are the things that can be done from anywhere.

Alright, looks like people are interested. I guess it'd be best to try and decide what kinda movie we want.

I think it's best to pick a genre to start with. How about this? Start posting with some genre choices. Tomorrow, I will start a poll with all of the genre suggestions. We can give the poll a week, and look at the results. Try to keep the genre suggestions basic, a little hybriding is okay (psychological thriller, horror/slasher, etc.), but don't get carried away. This is just to get some ideas rolling. Please respond with any suggestions or any reasonable objections and/or alternative ideas.

I'll start with a few:
     Psychological Thriller
     Horror/slasher
     Horror/supernatural
     Horror/Monster
     Revengeploitation
