Variety announced today that MGM is planning a sequel to their 1985 film Gymkata.  The working title of the sequel is Welcome Back Gymkata.

John Travolta is the planned star as Jonathan Cabot, the main character from the last film.  The plot revolves around Jonathan going through another "Game" this time being lead by billionaire tycoon played by Robert Hegyes.

Shooting is planned for this summer in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, NY.  More details to follow.
