Sure it's bad. But any movie that has outlaw bikers, female moonshiners, cheesy banjo music, Jack Starrett as a sheriff, and Casey Kasem as a revenue agent is undoubtedly fun and worth watching!
I have Something Weird's DVD-R version. It's a widescreen print taken from 16mm, complete with scratches and film splices . . . a junk-movie fan's dream! Plus, it was directed by David Hewitt of MIGHTY GORGA infamy!
Three bikers ride into town and their "mama" accidentally gets stabbed during a knife fight. The bikers are thrown in jail, but eventually break out with the help of three female moonshiners. This leads to a chase involving the police and local "nice guy" Jody McCrae. The cinematographer was Gary Graver, who went on to have a long career that included INVASION OF THE BEE GIRLS, GRAND THEFT AUTO, DEATHSPORT, and BAD GIRLS FROM MARS. Holy cow!
