Fun old science fiction film!  The giant slow-motion spider marionettes are a hoot, and you're right about how slow they are.  Just walking away at a leisurely pace would easily avoid them.  Crawling away would easily avoid them.  Heck, an old man with a walker could get away from those things.

About the weird jackal demon that sits in judgment of your evacuation recreation, I'm at a loss for words.

Thank you, sir.  You help keep me motivated to keep writing, because I definitely feel burned out at times.  It will get better after I am retired from the Marine Corps and the kids are older, but these last 7 years have been busy.  I've started taking some time here and there to work on hobbies and enjoying other b-movie reviews to keep from getting so burned out.
