I'm like InformationGeek: I normally do a a big load of research before watching or buying a film. Generally therefore,  if I dislike or even hate a movie I did not expect it to be good or great so not much harm done.

However I was slightly disappointed by Friday the 13th (1980). I knew I would not
be scared so that was not a problem. It's because unlike what many people have said to me, I thought it was a crappy movie.  I would not consider it a horror classic. The last quarter of the film was pretty good though.  I liked the sequels a lot more.
