I noticed this on the shelf and went 'finally!' I've been waiting for it to come out. I thought about seeing Quarantine but when I learned it was a remake of a foreign film I decided to wait, about time!

Camera crew go into an apartment with firefighters, turns out its more than a late night call. Some kind of zombie or spreadable possession disease was going around. As most 'shaky camera' movies go everyone dies. I really like this, my hands are still shaking, no Paranormal Activity but quite creepy. Zombie movies don't usually get this kind of treatment. The "first zombie" at the end is clearly CGI and yet for once it still works because the last two people are huddled and trying to hide from her, in the dark, with the camera man on nightvision. It works.

Can't wait until they bring REC 2 over which I hear is good too.

It's not CG.  It's a guy with some kind of condition who's very tall and extremely thin, in heavy makeup/costume.  Named Javier Botet.

Interview with him.

Skip to about two minutes in and you can see them putting the makeup on him.

But yeah, I was thinking it was at least partially CG too.  But nope.  I think it was the combination of the quite unusual build of Botet and the blown out nightvision look that made it look like CG.  Not to mention his quite creepy performance.

I really enjoyed [REC] as well.  I'm intending to see [REC]2 ASAP.
