Actually if I recall Mega Piranha came before Piranha 3-D.
That's a first!

Yep, MEGA PIRANHA came first.  They rushed MP out to beat P3D.

I finally got around watching this. Actually I was waiting for the Blu-ray price to drop, and it did  TeddyR
Fun flick. One of the few movies that live up to its trailer hype. Highly recommended, I had a good time watching  Thumbup

Lagomorphs: menace or underutilized resource?

Old thread revival! I watched this today on Netflix. And without reading this thread, I told my daughter this movie seemed like it was written by a group of junior high boys. Glad to see I'm not the only one who thought so. It had its fun moments, but overall, it was just plain dumb. It wasn't even consistent in its own world--the writers just seemed to pull out whatever new carp (fish joke! Whee!  Twirling) they could think of whenever it was convenient. The results are funny to talk about, but just a little painful to actually watch. And Paul Logan apparently has only one expression, and I think it's supposed to be "intensity." Or maybe constipation. It could be either; I don't think he ever drank the water, which would take care of the latter...

And Rev, I'll add one more to your list of things learned: Helicopters have unlimited fuel (unless they're hit by a bullet), easily flying from Venezuela to Florida without running out of fuel, and if a helicopter IS hit by a bullet, a small oxygen bottle will give it several more minutes of flight time.

Oh yeah this movie.  I have the thing on Blu-Ray (I hear you laughing already), but haven't watched it yet.  I'm hoping for something completely crappy, but yet so funny and entertaining.

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

Watch it now, today. Don't do anything else before you watch this movie.

I got this movie in a 12 movie set of action movies (okay, pretty much all disaster movies in it) at Kmart for $7.50; the set also includes Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus and interestingly enough the Piranha movie from 1972 with William Smith in it.

I think you may be able to find like a 6 or 8 movie set in the Walmart $5 bins with Mega Piranha and Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus in it.

Actually these multi-movie sets on DVD, though they might be cheaply done SyFy channel b-movie fare, they are a hell of a lot of fun for little investment. They have other multi-sets as well.

Looking forward to the next ex-teen idols movie Asylum wants to put out. TeddyR

My god Tiffani got fat. I think of this as another round of the Tiffani VS Debbie Gibson war since the 80's. Teen songs, Playboy then Mega fish. Movie is fun but there is no naivete in it so it can o0nly take you so far.
