Well once again, the summer is upon as you know what that means.  Summer blockbusters!  I am hyped for Last Airbender and am excited as heck for finally, Tales from Earthsea finally arrives in America.  Of course, at the end of August is Piranha 3D!

So what films are you guys waiting for, excited about, or curious about seeing?

Tales from Earthsea the Ghibli film? That hasn't been released in the US yet?

Wow, for once I feel special that we got something ahead of time instead of being painfully behind...

As for the movie it was good, but not as great as Miyazaki SNRs work.  It just seemed to lack a little something... Content is a word that comes to mind... But it still is reasonably enjoyable!

A few weeks ago the Boston Globe ran an article listing summer movies by realease date and providing a synopsis for each.  I was hugely disappointed.  There really wasn't a single movie that jumped off the page as a "must see."  I'll probably see PIRANHA 3-D (but I read it wasn't filmed in 3-D . . . they added the 3-D during post production).  There are a few others I'll end up seeing, but none of them really seem exciting to me.

It's funny - I just realized I'm familiar with every video game coming out in the next year or so, but movies?  Ain't got a clue  Question  With the low budget stuff I watch, you pretty much have to go to studio websites to find out what they're working on.  The Asylum has The Seven Adventures of Sinbad coming out (probably to coincide with the release of that Prince of Persia movie), and that looks kind of interesting.

I don't like most summer blockbusters, and I usually don't look that far ahead.  I am kind of interested in Christopher Nolan's sci-fi psychological thriller INCEPTION, though.

Predators, Inception, and The Expendables. I don't have much idea what Inception is about, but it sounds interesting.

So, I saw a list of movies for the summer.  Outside of MacGruber and Get Him To The Greek I doubt I'll be going to the movies.

I wanna see Shrek 4 but can wait til it's available OnDemand or DVD.
