I keep getting emails from everybody I know who's got a Facebook account, saying "hi. how are you? amazing website" with a link to an advertisement for green tea or "pighousecabinets" or some damned thing.

They even stick a "Sent from my iPhone" at the bottom to make it look totally legit  Lookingup

Nikon camera designer:  "We can either make the camera with a regular viewfinder, which is far more convenient and practical and will let people take hundreds of pictures on a single set of batteries - or we can put a little TV screen on the back which will make the batteries go dead after about 2 minutes of use."

Nikon executive:  "Well put a TV screen on the back obviously!"

These effing sites that want me to enter my username and password every time I go there, and of course for some damned reason the little Firefox auto-entry thing doesn't work on them.  I just signed up for some site the other day - I don't remember what the hell username I used.  And I really don't feel like trying three or four different guesses.  Come on - you put a freakin' cookie on my hard drive for this crap, and then you don't use it.

And that stupid IGN site wants me to enter that crap about every other time I go over there.  At least that one works with the auto-entry thing, but it's still annoying.  Oh and then after asking me for it 4 times in one day it won't ask me again all week  Lookingup

It makes me very uncomfortable.  Maybe even creeps me out a little.  Borders on gross; except for the thought that they could have come out in public wearing less/worse!

Oh Sweetie: in your case no undies would have to be an environmental improvement!    Wink

'Going commando' is not such a big deal...it used to be the only way riders could avoid those dreaded panty-lines when wearing light-coloured breeches in competition!

What makes me angry is children who are led around on a leash by their parents: I once asked a lady why she treated her child like that and her answer was not printable.  Buggedout

In fiction, the placing the blame of the murder not on the murderer, but on the victim, as if the fault of the muder lies with the victim and not the murderer.

A prime example would be the British TV series "Broadchurch," which has already played on TV in the U.K., and will play in the U.S. this month on BBC America.

The victim who is not yet 12-years-old is played as a bully, a drug dealer, and possibily a sexual whore in an effort to make him more unlikable and thus his murderer more likable. The problem with that, continuing down the logical path, is that because the boy was a bully, a drug dealer, and a possible sexual whore, he deserved to be murdered. And continuing further down that logical path, if he deserved to be murdered, then I deserve to be murdered. I don't think so.

Anyway . . . ?

That murder reminds me of something a character said in a series of westerns I was reading. He siad: "To kill a man is bad. To kill a woman is worst. But to kill a child . . ." Shaking his head. "You just don't do it!"
