Okay, I was flipping through the channels while at work and I briefly saw a really bizarre scene from a movie (or maybe TV show, I'm not sure.)

Anyway, the scene shows this large tortoise crawling around in the desert with a SEVERED HEAD attached to the top of it shell.  The head looks vaguely like Danny Trejo (you know, "Machete" from Grindhouse).  Anyway, there's several police officers  and an older sheriff nearby.  The sheriff, seeing this, runs to his car, gagging in horror.  The other officers though are having a good old time (because, you know, nothing says hilarity like a grisly murder) laughing and making fun of the man for being disgusted.  Then, as all the other officers are gathered around, one of them pulls the head off the large turtle and BOOM!  A bomb goes off, (presumably) killing everyone nearby except the sheriff, he was at the car.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

It's a scene from the TV series Breaking Bad.  No idea which ep, which season had the exploding head+tortoise, but that is definitely the show.

That is from Breaking Bad and it is Danny Trejo's head  In another ep in season 3 you see how that happened.  You don't betray the cartel.

I suspect that this is one of those that is so specific that, in spite of no confirmation from the Original Poster, it could be moved to Solved. I haven't seen the episode but we have two other members confident of the solution...

I saw this episode and it definitely is Danny Trejo's head. The poor old tortoise blows up later.  Buggedout

One thing that I've always enjoyed about this series is its tendency to start each episode off with the "punchline" before showing us how the rest of the show got to that point. It has always been the most clever and creative part of the show and I can't think of any other show that utilizes that style to such great effect.  Cheers
