This is one heck of a list.  While I think two and one should be switched around, I still think they put together a pretty darn good list of some of the best and most memorable baddies to ever grace the comics.

How about you guys?  What do you think of this list?

hmmm, The Joker as number two, I thought he would be numero uno. but why is Ra's AL Ghul number 7, wouldn't he be at least number 10? But why is Penguin number 51, my God, he's batman's second main foe ever!

Me, personally, I'd rank The Penguin higher.  He's my favorite comics character, period.

I know this topic could fuel some heated debates, but here are some I'd like to see on the list:

* The Owl (one of Daredevil's earliest foes)
* The Freak
* The Absorbing Man
* The Super Adaptoid
* The Rhino
* The Mole Man
* The Titanium Man
* The Crimson Dynamo

Honorable mentions:

* The Molten Man
* The Grey Gargoyle

I was very surprised with that.

I thought Lex Luthor or the Joker would take the top spot.

Rhino's a great villian.  Least, I feel he is.

That's a pretty good list; but yeah the ranking's a little odd, and not just the top 4.  Penguin should be higher, and Two Face and Catwoman both ought to be higher Ra's Al Ghoul (7? Seriously?)
Venom, The Governor and Ozymandius would probably all make my top 20, but I don't read that many comics so maybe their rankings are fair enough.

Interesting list. Definitely feel they should have included the Rhino and the Absorbing Man, both very powerful villains in their own rights. Also what about some of those huge crossover villains who got left off the list?? Onslaught? Ecclipso? Beyonder? Extant?

Still it's not too bad overall I guess although I would have placed Dr. Doom at # 1 myself and would have ranked villains like the Anti-Monitor (who actually destroyed entire universes if you think about it) rather near the top as well.

Villains I thought should have been placed much higher - M.O.D.O.K., Despero (it's taken the entire Justice League to defeat him in the past), Annihilus, Carnage, Mandarin, The Leader, Kraven the Hunter, Penguin, Thanos, Doomsday & Apocalypse. The following should have been much lower: Ra's Al Ghul, Talia Al Ghul, Captain Cold, Catwoman (she's not even a villain anymore IMO and probably shouldn't have been on the list at all), Amanda Waller (is she even really a true villian either?) & Sebastian Shaw.

From my understanding of Amanda Waller, I think she pretty much is a true villian.  Consider the events she was involved in during 52.  Catwoman I agree with.  She isn't much of a villian anymore and even when she was one, she was more of an anti-villian per say and not much in league with the rest of Batman's rogue gallery.  As for the Anti-Monitor, I completely agree that he (or is it a IT?) should be higher on the list.  Then again, he doesn't have much exposure time as the rest of the villians, so that probably hurts his ranking.  Either way, he is a force to be reckon with.

My #1 would have been this guy:

  He once stole the Beyonder's power and ruled the Universe but gave it back because the nature of the power made him want to become a more nurturing force, a caretaker rather than a tyrant.

  I also really wanted to see Batroc the Leaper, excuse me, Zee Leap-Aire
I know he's pretty inconsequential but he's a lot of fun and the guy's got style.
