Who Will Survive and What Will Be Left From Them?

« on: June 16, 2010, 07:29:01 AM »

Last night I was watching a movie about a shark killing people (Jaws rip-off), but I didn't watched it from the beggining, so I don't know the title.
I remmember one scene, where there's one man playing freezbee in the beach  with his dog. Then he throws it in the water, but the dog is scared and doesn't want to go and fetch it. So he goes for it and the shark mutilates him, cutting off his hand and leg.

Does anyone knows this one?

Doubtful that it's "The Great White" (a.k.a. "The Last Shark"). Universal put the kibosh on that movie back in '81; it is only available via bootleg DVD-Rs in the States. However if Horrorfreak is currently NOT in the U.S., then that might be the movie.

My vote is for "Cruel Jaws" which utilizes a TON of footage from "The Last Shark."

This part of the Board is just awesome, crazy people all over it.

From your description I take that you watched it on TV, so, don't tell anyone but there is a magic paper where you can look up what was on TV last night and (you won't believe this one) what will be on TV tomorrow! Awesome right? Now, If you got your magic paper and you turn just a feeeeewwww pages back. BANG! There it is.

Hey thanks to Bull and Jordan, that's the movie.
Thanks guyz!  Cheers

Now for my friend Starsky, yes I know about that 'magic paper' you're talking about mr Smart ass.
So I didn't have the TV proggram of this week, and I wanted to ask.
What's your f**king problem anyway? If you find my topic stupid, don't reply.

Rules of the board:  keep it civil.

Starsky:

No reason to respond in a condenscending manner that is insulting to the other person.

HorrorFreak,

Surely there was a better way to reply than using vulgar words that make me consider whether I need to edit your post.

What should have happened here is to ask if HorrorFreak could look up the name of the movie via the TV listings.  Then he could have politely replied that he did not have a paper, it was not listed, or that he did not know of a way to look up the title online.

Hey play nice kids, or you'll have to sit in time out for a while. lol.

Horrorfreak... you really saw "Great White" on TV? Where do you live; this cannot be possible! Ah... you're from Greece; totally plausible then.

Yeah, when "Great White" came out here in the States back in '81, Universal slammed the film makers with a lawsuit, thus forcing out of theaters, and out of our country entirely. Legit copies of the film are not available in the U.S., so we have to rely on bootleggers to bring us quality entertainment like this. You are one lucky guy!  TeddyR

Yeah I saw it dubbed in Greek in a crappy channel here in Greece.
I've seen a lot of shark movies in this channel, but I've never seen this one.
I've search for a copy online and truelly, it's pretty hard to fetch one.
But the movie was fun! Hope to find this one day...
