The normal sequence in a series of films. The first sequel will generally be worst than the originall, and the second sequel will generally be worst than the first sequel. But these three films reversed that trend (IMHO.) By building on what had gone on before, the first sequel was better than the original, and the second sequel was better than the first sequel.

What surprised me was how emotionally flat I found the film. Unlike some of the earlier Pixar films I've seen, this one let me unemotionally uninvolved. But, having said that, this film did something much harder than gettting me emotionally involved. It made me laugh out loud. Especially when Buzz Lightyear first goes into his Spanish mode. I just laughed and laughed at that point.

Supposedly, with a "Cars II" and a "Monsters, inc. II" upcoming, this will be the last film in the series, and we won't get a "Toy Story IV."

Had no idea, until I saw this, that Lotso actually existed:

They were made by Pixar as part of the film's ad campaign:

i loved this movie so much. i saw it in 2-D first and then in 3-D and i cried at the end and was at the edge of my seat at the (spoiler alert) dump scene which was so dark but was so great, this happened again when i saw a second time. after seeing these movies it makes me what to be a 3-D animator when i get older, but i don't mean for any company, i mean i want to work for pixar.

I FINALLY got around to seeing this at home when I realized it was on NetFlix streaming.

My 3-year-old is too young to appreciate it fully, but it held his attention for at least an hour. Besides, he's never been to impressed with the other Toy Story movies, being far more obsessed with Cars (the sequel of which we will be taking him to in June).

I really liked this final installment. I loved original, but was a tad bit disappointed in the second one. It was good and all, but just didn't track as well as the first one. Toy Story 3 was fantastic. I agree with whoever said that the Barbie and Ken angle worked far better in this one.

The film overall was both hilarious and melancholy, but in a great way. The part when they're heading for the incinerator was quite touching, and the ending certainly choked me up, I'm not ashamed to say. A great way to tie up the series and I will definately pick it up on Blu-Ray.

I would've liked it better if it ended this way.

It's funny how the worst Pixar film, Cars, had the same director for this film! oh yeah, I honestly felt that this film should have won the Best Picture Oscar because of the emotion and tense that the audience feels at one point. i also think that there's a message here: Who can you trust if at one point they wanted to kill you?

My 3-year-old absolutely loves Cars, but then, he's 3 years old and digs cars in general. Cars is toward the bottom of the Pixar list for me, but I still think it's a good movie. Plus, my son loves it and it's sort of grown on me. I've seen it far more times than I care to at this point, however. The Incredibles is my personal Pixar favorite.
