City of Angels.

I think you're joking. You're joking, yes?

Whether he's joking or not, The Rock is legitimately cool.
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Raising Arizona
Leaving Las Vegas
I haven't seen it, but I've heard pretty good things about Lord of War
Con Air (so bad it's good, I'm convinced it's actually a satire of Michael Bay's work)
I don't know if it's undeniably good, but I liked 8mm

Nic is either the world's worst great actor or the world's greatest lousy actor.

I think Nic Cage will top his work in Ghost Rider this very summer in Sorceror's Apprentice!

It's hard to decide if I like him or not because so much of his acting seems gratuitously hammy and over the top but there are times when he does a pretty decent job. I think whoever said the Coens' get the best out of the actors hit it on the head. Maybe he needs a lot of acting guidance.

That said put me down for Raising Arizona and Con Air.

Thats a very love or haten kinda film.
I enjoyed it, but I know folks who walked out of the cinema when it was first shown.

After all these years I still haven't figured out if he is a good actor or not.

I think he's a good actor who needs a good and controlling director or a role written with him in mind.  Even with bad direction though, I've found him at least entertaining in just about every role.  I like to think of Ghost Rider as the role perfect for him - he was allowed to overact so much that his head literally burst into flames.

He's pretty bad in most but I did like a surprising number of his films including: The Family Man, Raising Arizona, Leaving Las Vegas, Adaptation, Snake Eyes and probably even a few others I can't recall fully off the top of my head. He does have a surprisingly likable everyman quality in some films I'd argue.

I really liked 8MM and Bangkok Dangerous.  I also loved National Treasure and Ghost Rider.

Poor Nic gets a bad rap but he's the best cheeseball actor on the planet.  I love him to bits and I hope the studios keep letting him make movies.

 Cheers
