Hello. I saw this movie a while ago (90s), any help much appreciated. Alien abduction movie. What I remember:

-The central character is this psychologist/shrink guy (somewhat older guy) who is encountering a lot of cases of people who claim they were abducted by aliens, he uses hypnosis at one point, and he starts believing that his patients are actually telling the truth.

-There's a black guy who was mounting guard somewhere when he saw a ship crash: he went to check it out and saw the aliens that had an accident; he was haunted by the memory and by this sign that he saw inside the ship. The military guys had him committed to a loony asylum, where the shrink guy met up with him.

-There was this woman who had encounters with aliens since she was a kid, and was marked by the aliens (this round sorta tattoo on her arm. Her sister had the same thing. I think at one point the aliens came back for her and impregnated her and then took the baby.

-At one point the woman is taken on board a ship and is shown that her half-bred daughter is part of a new breed of human-alien which the aliens are creating to make peace between both worlds. SHe gets to see the kid for a bit (kid has this humanoid nanny with her), but has to go back.

-I think the psychologist was conducting at some point sorta group therapy/discussions where everyone was sharing their stories.

Any pointers? It's been years since I saw this, just something I'd like to watch again.

I think this could be Intruders (1992).  It was technically a mini series.  Sounds very similar.  Deals with psychologist (if I remember correctly) investigating similarities in what people are reporting about alien abduction.  There is a military character that no one believes and I think was committed but I can't remember much about him.  I remember mostly the alien hybrid children.  Familiar but kind of off looking and a rather straightforward dealing with the idea.  There are some clips of the french version on youtube, if you would like to see if there is anything you can remember.

Ah, the good old days.
