Let's see how this thread goes. I was interested in what music was in the top 40 the week I was born. The Billboard site has the top ten archived all the way to 1955, so, I couldn't get the top 40. Anyway, you can go to the following link and click on
View Chart Archives at the top and enter your birth date, and see what was at the top of the charts the week you were born:
http://www.billboard.com/charts#/charts/hot-100Just include the top ten, not your age. It will make it more fun to guess the year in which you were born. It's also an interesting commentary on how many songs in the past were hugely popular but have been long forgotten. Have fun. Here's mine:
1. "The Sir With Love" by Lulu
2. "Soul Man" by Sam and Dave
3. "Incense and Peppermints" by Strawberry Alarm Clock
4. "The Rain, The Park and Other Things" by The Cowsills
5. "It Must Be Him" by Vikki Carr
6. "Please Love Me Forever" by Bobby Vinton
7. "Your Precious Love" by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell
8. "Say a Little Prayer" by Dionne Warwick
9. "Expressway to Your Hear" by Soul Survivors
10. "I Can See For Miles" By The Who
