I don't know. The Handsome Beasts had a good one, and I can't wait to pick up my copy of Ken's By Request Only. I hear his rendition of Afternoon Delight is first rate.

Lagomorphs: menace or underutilized resource?

« Reply #2 on: August 17, 2010, 04:53:04 PM »

I actually bought an Orion album once that looked similar to that one. It was printed on red vinyl. Who's the cool daddy now? Huh? And my parents have the Mike Adkins "Thank You for the Dove" album.

I don't think it's really fair to take albums meant for really small circulation (i.e., most of the '70s Christian albums and probably most of the polka albums) and claim they had the worst covers ever. They had little to no budget to work with, so they did what they could do. And yes, '70s fashions stunk, so any album cover featuring it is worth some measure of ridicule. Now the MC Pooh cover, with the singer actually coming out of the girl's butt, THAT'S a horrible album cover--the design can't possibly work. I realize he's supposed to be presenting himself as a cunning linguist, but with a name like Pooh, you really don't want to appear between someone's legs like that.

I'm glad they actually included some bigger name groups and didn't just stick with every local yokel who put out an album.

All the more reason I like that "Ken" guy. I can trust Ken. He's singing from the heart. He's not controlled by the big corporate record labels. He's a real artist.

This doesn't belong here!  It's one of my favorite album covers.

It's meant to be "bad" because it's a parody of this one, which I like even better....

I was searching for unreleased rap compilations on amazon a while back because there's quite a few released lately, and I came across this one. It made me laugh so much I saved it to my comp.

check out how there is no attempt at all to make that car seem like it's really there...lol, and that parental advisory sticker hasn't even been cut+ pasted properly. this is real, you can find it on amazon "Dayton Boyz"

That's hilarious. Now, how can we, as appreciators of bad movies, not appreciate that? It's funny how a parental advisory sticker has become such a badge of honor for rappers that this "artist" has cut and paste it onto the cover. Awesome!

I like the way they seem to have taken a photo of the sticker from inside a CD case too, so it's got camera flash reflected on it. good effort  BounceGiggle
