Well f**k me! I just got back seeing this and it was pretty bloody cool! Pun intended! How over the top were some of the deaths? Haha some pure carnage was on display as well as some truly stunning titties and asses!! Aja has nailed this remake! Its fun with a capital F. The Jaws homage was all class. I pretty much had a smile on my face from start to finish. I wasn't too sure about this one being a mix of horror and comedy but its not really its more like a mix of horror and tits/ass/sunshine! And both parts are done really well. The horror is actually horrific and the tits/ass/sunshine is just tits/ass/sunshine - what more could you ask for in a movie? This is highly recommended big budget B-movie trash!

I definetly could have seen it in 2D and not lost any impact on the movie itself.  Maybe just seeing an explotiation movie in 3D like they did just made me want that experience.

Not a bad little b movie.  Plenty of T&A and B&G (blood and guts/gore).

Christopher Llyod was awsome in this movie, despite being in it for little more then a cameo.  Which brings me ot one of my complaints about the movie.  It feels like its missing its third act.

The movie just kind of..well, ends.  Yes, it could be seen as setting up a sequal.  But in the film, it really seems like it should be still more of a final act.

Not bad.  I had high expectations and was just a little disappointed; it was a fun time waster but not much more.  A few comments:

*3D was (of course) an unnecessary gimmick.  It turns out 3D nudity isn't any more titillating than 2D nudity.
*The underwater nude scene was a highlight, though.  Good thing those gals didn't need to breathe!
*Christopher Lloyd cameo was fun.
*Seemed like it switched from playing it as a straight (if ridiculous) thriller to a gore comedy for the big massacre scene.
*It's a 70/80s style exploitation movie, all right, but it just didn't feel right somehow watching at a multiplex.

Overall, for exploitation movie fans I'd say 3.5/5; for "regular" people a 3/5, if they're open to exploitation movies.

Honestly I couldn't say that the 3D added much.  But then again I don't really think 3D has added very much to any movie I've seen, except maybe AVATAR.  The 3D is a gimmick, but exploitation movies are supposed to be gimmicky, so maybe it adds to the experience.

I know, gimmicks usually do it for me though. I went to see My Bloody Valentine 3D but by the time we got the the theater(weeks after opening) they were only showing it in 2D. It wasn't blurry or anything but it was kind of like watching Friday the 13th part 3(D) where you could tell where the 3D parts popped out but it was lame.

I haven't seen it, but I keep picturing something similar to Snakes on a Plane just with some more nudity and gore.

That's honestly not that far from the mark.

I still need to see Snakes on a Plane. I rented Snakes on a Train because I thought it would be a funny knock off but it ended up just being terribly unwatchable.

This was a fun little film. Honestly I thought this is what Snakes On a Plane should have been. This was much more enjoyable.

I throughly enjoyed it, though they went overboard on the gore.

I didn't think there was enough.

Other than the set piece with all the teenagers, there wasn't much to it.
Except Elisabeth Shue.  TeddyR

I'm hoping for more jokes in the second.

Not bad though.
