I've got to find out what causes this and put a st

This one's from "Film's to keep you awake" group its a spanish flick with english subtitles.  Very briefly (spoilers) it focuses on a young couple Juan and Sophia with an 8 month old baby.  The move into this grand old house which they are working on renovating (lots of construction junk around, tarps, etc. you get the feel) and recieve a baby monitor.  When they turn the baby monitor on they hear a man talking in the room with the baby, like any parent (trust me as one, this would be the normal reaction) Juan rushes in with a knife to find no one there.  They upgrade their security, they are having a strained relationship, his work is suffering (ok, I admit I fast-forwarded a little bit through this part, the whole "ghosts are ruining my life" theme, I get it, get back to the actual action in the night scenes) and he gets more advanced video baby monitors.  This time they see a man sitting next to baby's crib and juan does the rush in with knife again.  His wife doesn't believe him, thinks he's crazy takes the baby and leaves.  He seeks the advice of domingo who explains the shroedingers cat paradox (e.g. cat is in a box set up so that there is a 50% chance of death, until the box is opened the cat is technically both alive and dead since no one knows the actual outcome, I learned about this paradox in quantum chem class back in college, shroedinger put it together as a joke initially to point out the ridicoulusness of quantum chem which would state that if an electron has a 50% chance of being in one place or another than it technically is in both, the paradox however has been accepted by the wider scientific community much to schroedingers dismay.  To be fair however during quantum chem class our physical chem professor would sneak in and hang signs up saying that quantum was fake and that it was all made up) in any case juan with the help of an obscene number of baby monitors discovers that the monitors are actually showing him in an alternate universe where he kills his wife and child.  He actually can enter this universe by looking through a monitor which shows him the location of a door that is actually a part of a wall in this universe.  In the end he comes to find out that evil juan has entered back into our universe and is pretending to be good juan.  His wife and child come back home and they are reconciled when all of a sudden the baby disappears.  Juan is convinced evil juan has taken the baby and goes to try to break back into the alternate universe again while his wife who believes none of this tries to stop him stabbing him in the hand in the process (thus making it possible to tell evil juan from normal juan).  Juan hits her and she passes out and he manages to break into the alternate universe where he sees evil juan with the baby (baby still alive)and the wife after waking up calls the police.  The end scene is the police and paramedics are loading the wife into an ambulance and juan has the baby when she notices that he doesn't have a cut on his hand and figures out that he is the evil juan as the ambulance is driving away.  A baby monitor kick on randomly in the now empty baby's room and shows good juan sitting next to the baby's crib watching over the baby in that universe.  I still can't decide if this is a bad or a good ending.  On the face it looks bad as evil juan now has this universe's baby and good juan is trapped in the other universe but then again the other universe's baby and presumably wife are still alive maybe the problems evil juan had with the other universe's wife that causes him to kill her are no longer the same in this universe and vice versa (good juan won't kill the other universe's wife).  Has anyone else seen this movie, thoughts on the ending?

I have that box set and its one of the best things ever. Its like a Spanish Masters of Horror. I loved The Baby's Room episode it was bloody freaky! It has similarities to movies like The Eye and Shutter but its much spookier in my opinion. Although the Thai version of Shutter is very freaky too. My fave one in that set but is The Christmas Tale.

I generally cringe whenever people introduce quantum physics. They tend to focus on the stories and ignore the basic principles being illustrated. They might as well have moved on to the Everett-Wheeler many-worlds hypothesis.

I liked it, though. I saw it on a DVD that also had "To Let" on the flip-side, which I thought was a pretty fun film.

Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.
