Am I alone in thinking Snyder's films aren't that impressive?  I haven't seen Watchmen (well, I've seen parts of it) but his movies look like big, pretty commercials.

I look forward to watching the man of steel move at the speed of a slug.  Snyder does love his slow-mo!

Good choice though: if someone will make it work, its Snyder, and with Nolan watching over the project, I can't imagine this will be as terrible as the last two movies!

He can make entertaining and gorgeous films, but when it comes to real substance...  I wouldn't say he falls flat on his face, but he's not nearly as good at dramatic depth as visuals.  This is not to say Superman has really deep storylines, but he has good ones, and with him at the helm I wouldn't expect it to reach the levels of the original film.

Could be interesting, although I personally don't think that Snyder is that great of a director when he has to create a narrative without any pre-existing visual aids. Competent, yes, but not really that unique. Maybe some film in the future will be a turning point for him, but overall he's just kind of "ehh" for me.

Also, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's getting annoyed by the overuse of the whole "slow down the film and then speed it back up" thing that's everywhere these days. I still say that it's most effective when the director/editor is stingy about it.

His movies are entertaining at least.  I think the only film that really has given him any dramatic depth, even in the slightest, was Watchmen.  I think having Nolan will help out a bit.

Aside from the slow-mo, I love Snyder's films.  Seriously.  This guy made me a believer with Dawn Of The Dead.  I went into it with huge reservations.  I was prepared with everything I had to hate it.  Instead, I love it.  It's a superb update to what is still my favorite zombie film of all time.

300 is fun.  Sure there isn't a lot there other than violence and gorgeous visuals, but it's still a blast to watch.

Watchmen is the man's masterwork so far.  A lot of people hate the film, and I get that.  For me though, Snyder took an amazing story and made an amazing film.  I do feel that the ending was too upbeat compared to the original and not nearly as nihilistic as I would have liked.  That aside, the film is superb.

I'm hoping he takes a serious approach towards Superman.  Word is that Zod will be the badguy this time around.  A serious film about Superman vs Zod sounds like heaven to me.

Hey!  You're back!  Hooray!

Anyways, I'm not sure what to think.  He could do a good job at making a Superman film, but until I hear some more information on the team involved, I got nothing to say.

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.
