A few months back, badmoviepodcast was approached by Mike White, publisher and editor of Cashier du Cinemart.  He was working on an anthology book, bringing together some of the best and most relevant articles and freshening them up.

So, I started reading the draft he sent me.  I got pretty enamored with it.  This resulted in a lot of back and forth chatting, and finally a lengthy interview session.  The book is out now.  I bought mine at Amazon, but his website lists other places to get it.

In short, I really enjoyed the hell out of this book.  It covers Tarantino, samurai movies, Alien3's downfall, how the blaxsploitation epic Black Shampoo changed his life forever and Lucas' molestation of his childhood.  I was really into the section where scripts are analyzed and they lay out the play-by-play of who screwed up movies like Alien3, 8mm, Highlander 2, etc.  That was great stuff.

Anyway, the interview is here:

We're going to do a review show on Black Shampoo soon, and have him on.  That should be epic.
