Five Guys Burgers And Fries just started popping up around here in the past few years.  Just had it today actually.  I find their food to be good but not the best.  I'd rank their burgers in my top 5 though.  The fries are really good because I belive they fry them in peanut oil.  I have to admit I dig their "blah" presentation.  Just a brown bag with a tin foil wrapped food item.

Never had em.  Never had the urge to go there, either.

They're popping up all over the place here.

I kind of like them.  They're not bad; what I like most is the fact that they fill your bag with extra fries!

They built a Five Guys near my office last year.  We were excited when it opened, but we've only eaten there 3 or 4 times.  Good fast food, but not nearly as good as the hype.

This is the first I've heard of them.  No outlets here that I know of.

I like that too actually.  BounceGiggle  A large fry could probably feed a family of four...well in my house my wife and I to be correct.  We are fry shovelers.

Good but not the best.  Their burgers are pretty good.  I usually go with a bacon/mushroom burger.  Delicious.  Try their cajun fries the next time you're in there!

First I've heard of it.

Recently I was commenting that I missed the revival movie houses in L.A., like the New Beverly Cinema. I also miss all the independent burger joints all over Southern California. Not good for you, certainly, but that's where some of the finest burgers and other greasy-spoon fare can be found. There are so many of them. Sometimes there's just a single location, sometimes, like Norm's, it's a mini chain, where you might have a few of them in SoCal, but nowhere else in the world. These places are amazing because they don't just have burgers, but lot's of other things like steak sandwiches, pastrami, fried zucchini or mushrooms, and sometimes some pretty damn good mexican food. And, of course, the original Tommmy's chili-burgers are freaking iconic.

There are some things about L.A that I don't miss, but New Beveraly Cinema and the great burger joints I miss dearly.

They're delicious.  Very good burgers (not the best I've had, but in the top tier), and some of the best fries I've had too.  They're popping up really fast here in St. Louis..  One opened up near us like a year ago, and now there's like 5 more in the following year.

I will say there can be a little bit of variance in two things: the burger quality (never got a bad one, but the one by me is better than the other two I've eaten at) and the quantity of fries you get.  Sometimes if you get a large fry you get a ridiculously gigantic amount of fries.  Other times you just get a really large amount.  The former is what you're SUPPOSED to get, and makes me happy, as I'm a fry freak.

I had them for the first time yesterday, a good burger and I like how you can customize.  I would not go out with the express purpose of eating there, but it was as good a fast food burger as I have found.

Also, the bottom bun generally falls apart before you finish eating the burger.

I first heard of "5 Guys" about 4 days ago, on vacation in Florida! TeddyR

I LOVED the food there, in fact I loved a lot of Florida-food. BBQ bacon burger with grilled onions was what I had, plus he obligatory oodles of fries! Everyone in my group got the fries actually, and we ended up having about 2 cups too many X)

I picked the top option as there is no "above average" middle ground X)
