Just curious -- what's the highest rated movie on IMDB's top 250 that you've never seen?  (Link to the list: http://www.imdb.com/chart/top).

For me, it's #19, CITY OF GOD.  I'm sure its a great movie and I'd watch it if the opportunity came up, but I'm not going to seek it out.

(You may want to skip over the 2010 releases---I understand many/most of you haven't had the chance to see INCEPTION or TOY STORY 3 yet.  Besides, those movies are likely to sink further down the list as time goes on).

#43 - Vertigo.  I've actually been meaning to get around to Vertigo for quite a while, I even checked it out of the library once and never got around to it before it had to go back.

#1 The Shawshank Redemption (1994)

I rented the video once but only managed to see bits and pieces. For some reason the DVD always flew under my radar. I'm now aiming to get the Blu-ray one of these days.

# 2 - The Godfather

I counted them up and I've seen 100 of the 250 although I own I'd say at least 25 on DVD I have yet to watch.

#3 The Godfather: Part II

I have not seen 96 of the top 250.  Better than half of those just do not appeal to me, so I am unlikely to chose to see them - Godfather II included.

The highest rated I've never seen is Seven Samarai. I don't know why I've not seen it. And it's on Netflix for streaming. Sweet.
