how about Trouble..(anyone remember those guys?)

I sure as hell remember Trouble. They kick SERIOUS ASS! Speaking of doomier bands, how about The Obsessed, or Paradise Lost, St. Vitus, etc...?

yeah...I think this thread should continue. Paradise Lost, I heard some early stuff around 92-ish that was really good. never heard much since then tbh. loads of bands from the 'early days' of metal (which for me is like late 80s but obviously before then as well) not mentioned. it's only a list, but...

I'm wondering about the validity of Van Halen in a list like this. obviously they're most known for 'Jump' which is a pop song basically. A cheesy pop song. but some of their other stuff is really heavy and very 'metal' like their first couple of albums and in particular the 'Balance' album they did with Sammy Hagar years later. They should be in this list IMO

Where would CKY fit on the Metal chart?

"96 Quite Bitter Being" by CKY

"Flesh Into Gear" by CKY

Vastly underrated group that gets almost NO play by a lot of press.

Love em.

Bam owns a bar about a half hour from here.  They're from West Chester, a college town a short 30 minute ride away.  It's not uncommon to run into sombody from Viva La Bam or CKY.
